  1. In class this week we got into groups of four to do an experiment. Basically our jobs was to clean the dirty water that was given to us. The water samples was Untreated water, aerated water, addition of alum, after flocculation, first filtration, charcoal filtration. My observation for the the untreated water is that the water look all muddy and has a lot bacteria in it. MY observation for aerated water is the water is lighter and sediments begin to disappear. My observation for the addition of alum is start the water is starting to look lemon green. My observation after flocculation is the water look creamery and its beginning to be clear on the top..My observation after the first filtration is the water is beginning to look clear. My observation after charcoal filtration is that the after look clearer and the water doesn't have a funky smell. If this was completed right then the changes you would see is that the water become clearer after each sample.
