A current science issue that's happening in the news right now is the global temperatures. According to the New York times article Global Temperatures Highest in 4,000 Years says "Global temperatures are warmer than at any time in at least 4,000 years." The reason why it's increasing at this gradual pace is believed to be a consequence of human activity, these human activities are the use of machinery that exhaust carbon dioxide into the atmosphere, this then causes a green house effect that traps heat and bounces it back unto our surface thus increasing the planets temperature. What I found interesting was that the planet will be at least as warm as it was during the warmest periods of the modern geological era, known as the Holocene era, and probably warmer than that. These findings are important not only to us, but to other animals that we share this planet with ,because we might be able to adapt to these changes thanks to our intellect, but some animals won't be able to and might just die off gradually and end up extinct and it'll be our fault as the dominant species of the planet because it's the effect of the way we use fossil fuel knowing the damage it causes not only to our health but the planet.
A current issue that is happening right now in the news is that in the northern latitude the cover of snow has bin melting because temperature has gone up during the four seasons. this can eventually melt a lot of ice off and rise the sea levels.this is interesting because if we don't changed we live and stop global warming and what not we might live for to long because the ice is gonna melt and cause a flood. we can start by starting to hydrofrack because it will lower the amount of pollution.if we dont start to address this problem more cautiously we be here for to long. all this use of coal and other fossil fuels is unsustainable and will lead to a big flood.
